THE ITINERARY
SUN Day One – Arrive Johannesburg
Arrive Johannesburg Airport where you are met and assisted to your hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. 19h00 meet at reception for a tour briefing and a chance to meet your fellow travelers.
MON Day Two – Depart Johannesburg / Mpumalanga
Depart Johannesburg and travel to Pretoria, South Africa’s capital city, for a short tour before continuing on to Mpumalanga Province, known as “Paradise Country”.Driving through the sub-tropical Lowveld, travel via the historic towns of Dullstroom and Lydenburg, Long Tom Pass and Sabie to Hazyview, the safari hub of Kruger National park. TUE Day Three Mpumalanga After an early breakfast, drive along the spectacular “Panorama Route”, offering views of amazing scenery including the 26 kilometre-long Blyde River Canyon and historic God’s Window, a breathtaking view (weather permitting) of the edge of the escarpment taking in the Kruger National Park. Arrive back in Hazyview to relax. (B)
WED Day Four Mpumalanga
Enjoy an early morning game drive (in open safari vehicle) in the Kruger National Park with a packed breakfast. Kruger is one of the world’s greatest national parks, home to a stunning array of wildlife. Search for the ‘Big Five’ (rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, and elephant) as well as prolific birdlife and numerous other game. The afternoon is at leisure at your hotel. Late afternoon open vehicle game drives are available (optional & for own account). [B]
THU Day Five Mpumalanga / Swaziland
This morning we travel to Swaziland, an independent Kingdom within the borders of South Africa, known for its lovely scenery, crafts and colourful indigenous culture. An interactive cultural experience introduces us to the charming people of Eswatini, and their traditions. We travel to the beautiful Ezulwini Valley for overnight. [B,L,D]
FRI Day Six Swaziland / Zululand
After breakfast you will continue south through Swaziland, before re-entering South Africa. Travel to the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve, which contains an immense diversity of fauna and flora and is particularly famous for its conservation of black and white rhino. OPTIONAL :Enjoy an afternoon game drive (for own account) before continuing to your hotel in the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi region. Overnight Hluhluwe-Imfolozi region. [B]
SAT Day Seven Zululand / Durban – Umhlanga
This morning enjoy a cruise on Lake St. Lucia (weather permitting) before departing for Durban. Our journey takes us past traditional Zulu kraals, Eucalyptus plantations and sugar cane fields. We arrive in the early afternoon where the tour ends. (B)
