GENERAL INFORMATION AND TERMS & CONDITIONS

CANCELLATION NOTICE

The following per person cancellation fees are applicable:

  • 91 days or more prior to your trip: 30% of your total tour price.
  • 90 – 60 days prior to your trip: 50% of your total tour price, or amounts recoverable from suppliers
  • 59 – 46 days prior to your trip: 75% of your total tour price, or amounts recoverable from suppliers
  • 45 days or less prior to your trip: 100% of your total tour price, or amounts recoverable from overseas suppliers

In case of change of date, every effort will be made to avoid cancellation and rebooking penalties, but the penalties are dependent on the policies of the suppliers. The cancellation policy for airline arrangements will be as per the rules and regulations of the airline.     For this purpose, we strongly recommend TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE.


All Train & Botswana Safaris cancellation fees 100% from 91 days out.

For this purpose, we strongly recommend TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE.

PRICES:  the prices quoted are based on rates and tariffs confirmed to us at the time of booking and should tariffs increase due to circumstances beyond our control, such as fuel surcharges, currency fluctuations, local hotel and tour operators etc., we reserve the right to amend our quotation without notice.

ACCOMMODATIONS:  as specified in the itinerary, or similar, will be provided in hotels, lodges, tents, camps and on trains, based on two persons sharing a twin-bedded room or compartment with private bath or shower where available.  Single accommodations are available on Trains, and all singles are subject to supplements.  The right is reserved to substitute hotels, camps and lodges where necessary.

TRANSFERS:  airport/ hotel/rail station transfers are provided almost everywhere unless it is to your benefit to take a cab or courtesy shuttle bus.  This is detailed in your Itinerary and Quotation.

SIGHT-SEEING:  as specified in each itinerary in the most modern and comfortable transportation minivans or small coaches, with English speaking drivers/guides.  All entrance fees to sight-seeing tours are normally included, unless otherwise specified.

GRATUITIES:  Are not included unless specified in the Quotation.

BAGGAGE:  International travelers are allowed two pieces of baggage on the aircraft.  However, on safari in East and Southern Africa, when using light aircraft, a maximum luggage allowance of 33 lbs is allowed.   All excess baggage must be stored.  This is a very strict ruling!

TOUR PLANNING:  Tour planning, preparation & operational costs are included in your Quotation.

NOT INCLUDED:  Airfares unless specified, visas, inoculations, excess baggage charges, items of a personal nature such as incidentals at hotels & lodges, porterage, tipping and gratuities to camp staff, liquor and refreshments, meals not specified, touring not specified, Trip Cancellation Insurance, local airport taxes, car rental fees payable direct i.e. one way drop off fees on Garden Route.

REFUNDS:  made promptly for legitimate cancellations, less the handling fee.   If occurring during the tour, the African tour operator will advise the amount to refund.

VISA/INOCULATIONS:  Visa and immunization requirements vary from country to country, and up-to-date information must be obtained from your local doctor, health department or Consulate.   Anti-malaria precautions need be taken for all safaris.  Yellow fever is required by Tanzania & Zanzibar, and if flying from Brazil to South Africa you need a Yellow Fever certificate to board the flight.

RESPONSIBILITY CLAUSE:  Wild African Ventures Inc. of Shadow Hills, California, USA, your travel agent, outfitters, operators of the tours and or/suppliers of services act only as agents for the passengers in regards to travel, whether by plane, car or landrover, motorcoach or minivan, ship, canoe/mokoro or Train,and assume no liability to injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason of defect of any vehicle, act of war, insurrection, revolt or other civil uprising, other military action, strikes or any Act of God occurring in either country of origin, destination or through passage, or for any reason whatsoever, or through the acts of default of any company or persons engaged in conveying the passengers or in carrying out arrangements of the tour.   They cannot accept any responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in air schedules or other causes.  All such losses or expenses will be the responsibility of the traveler, as the rates provided are for the arrangements only at the time stated.  YOU ARE VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATING IN THESE ACTIVITIES WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE DANGERS INVOLVED, AND HEREBY AGREE TO ACCEPT ANY RISKS.  The right is reserved to make minor adjustments to the itinerary and the right is reserved to cancel any tour prior to departure.  Wild African Ventures Inc. may not be held responsible for any loss or damage to luggage before, during or after the tour.  The acceptance of final travel documentation from Wild African Ventures Inc. shall be deemed to be consent to the above conditions.
