THE ITINERARY
TUE Day One – Depart Johannesburg / Kruger National Park
Depart Johannesburg and travel to Mpumalanga Province, known as “Paradise Country”.
After freshening up at your lodge, enter the Kruger National Park and spend the afternoon game-viewing (closed vehicle). Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. (D)
WED Day Two – Kruger National Park
Enjoy an early morning open vehicle game drive through the Kruger National Park with an English speaking game ranger and packed breakfast. Kruger is one of the world’s greatest national parks, home to a stunning array of wildlife. Search for the ‘Big Five’ (rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, and elephant) as well as prolific birdlife and numerous other game. Return to the lodge for lunch (own account). Enjoy an afternoon of game-viewing in a closed vehicle. [B,D]
THU Day Three – Mpumalanga
Explore the magnificent Panorama Route, one of the most scenic drives in the region offering glorious views,spectacular landscapes and exquisite waterfalls. [B,D]
FRI Day Four – Kruger Park / Johannesburg / Cape Town
Return by road this morning to Johannesburg Airport where you willtake a flight to Cape Town (flight not included). In Cape Town, met and transferred to your hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. [B]
SAT Day Five – Cape Peninsula
Full day tour of the Cape Peninsula. [B]
SUN Day Six – Cape Town
A full day at leisure to explore on your own.[B]
MON Day Seven – Cape Town / Mossel Bay
Travel along Sir Lowry’s Pass to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of Africa, where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. Continue via historic Swellendam to Mossel Bay. [B]
TUE Day Eight – Mossel Bay / Oudtshoorn
Continue to Oudtshoorn. Visit an ostrich farm for a guided tour. Enjoy a wine-tasting at a local wine estate, then tour Cango Caves. [BD]
WED Day Nine – Oudtshoorn / Knysna
Travel over the Outeniqua Pass to George and continue via Wilderness to Knysna. Enjoy a lagoon cruise to Featherbed Nature Reserve, and a trailer ride to the top of the Western Head to enjoy panoramic views. Return to your hotel for lunch an an afternoon at leisure. [BL]
THU Day Ten – Knysna
Visit the Garden of Eden, set in the lush, indigenous Knysna forest, and Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary. Continue to the famous Eastern Head with spectacular views of the Knysna Heads (weather permitting), and finally to Brenton-on-Sea with it’s unspoilt beaches and peaceful surroundings. Rest of day at leisure. [B]
FRI Day Eleven – Knysna- Port Elizabeth – Tour ends
Today you will be transferred to Port Elizabeth Airport where the tour ends.
