This is the shortest program for Gorilla trekking and can be combined with any safari in Kenya and Tanzania, or an extended stay in Rwanda.  The safari can operate in reverse to simplify connections as needed.  We offer four options taking advantage of numerous accommodation styles, and an extra night can be added to the itinerary to give you two days of Gorilla trekking.

The itinerary at a glance:

Day 01
On arrival you clear customs and then are met and transferred to the city for lunch.   After lunch, transfer to your lodge in Volcanoes National Park.  Choice of lodges

Day 02                                                                                                                                                    Morning briefing by the Volcanoes National Park’s guides on how to behave in the forest and in the presence of mountain gorillas. You then enter the park for a gorilla trek which will take you until around midday depending on where you find them. Once the gorillas are located all fatigue is forgotten, as the experience is often described as being the most profound natural history experience in the world. It is important to take plenty of water. Cameras and plenty of fast speed film is recommended. It can rain at a few minutes notice, hence waterproof clothing is a good essential including zip lock bags for cameras and film. After the trek, lunch will be at your lodge. In the afternoon, visit Twin lakes.
Dinner and overnight at your lodge as per selected option

Day 03
Transfer to Kigali for lunch, then on to the airport for your outbound flight.
