Blue Train

The Blue Train travels an approximately 1,600-kilometre (990 mi) journey in South Africa between Pretoria and Cape Town. It is one of the most luxurious train journeys in the world. It boasts butler service, two lounge cars, an observation car, and carriages with gold-tinted picture windows, The soundproofed, fully carpeted compartments, each feature en-suite bathrooms.

Rovos Rail

Rovos Rail runs its train-hotel to a regular schedule on various routes throughout Southern Africa, from South Africa to Namibia and Tanzania. The trains consist of restored Rhodesia Railways (NRZ) coaches with two lounges, two restaurant cars, and private sleeping compartments, each with private ensuite facilities.

Shongololo Express Train

The Shongololo Express provides a special touring experience for visitors to Southern Africa. The three journeys of between 12 & 15 days traverse South Africa, Namibia, Swaziland, Mocambique and Zimbabwe with a variety of off-train excursions. Accommodating 72 guests in two categories of comfortable en-suite cabins with doubles or twin beds, the classic wood-panelled carriages hark back to a simpler, more elegant era encompassing the romance of African exploration.
