Apache has a sweet nature and is easily handled by a confident rider.
BARNEY – 17.3hh, YOB 2003, Bay Warmblood from Cape Town
A very comfortable ride, Barney has a lovely nature and will be enjoyed by anyone who enjoys riding a big horse.
BOSIGO – 16.2hh, YOB 2006, Black Warmblood cross from Windhoek Namibia
A very forward-going horse with great scope, Bosigo enjoys safari life!
BOTETI – 15.2hh, YOB 2002, Grey Arab cross
A beautiful looking veteran of the Macatoo barn, Boteti knows his job and is very comfortable at all paces. A good match for experienced riders.
BRANDBERG – 16.3hh, YOB 2001, Bay Friesian cross Saddlebred, from the Brandberg mountain in Namibia
Brandberg is handsome and easy to ride and has a generous nature.
CAESAR – 15.2hh, YOB 1998, Bay Thoroughbred
A lovely looking horse with equally beautiful paces, Caesar is very light and responsive and excels with a gentle rider.
CASA – 17hh, YOB 2002, Bay Holsteiner from Belgium
A very comfortable and forward-going horse, Casa is a former showjumper who is very well schooled. He is a very special horse, but needs a very experienced rider.

Cellula has recently arrived in the barn so is learning his new role, previously he did a lot of cattle work so is a very responsive ride.

A lovely, good-natured horse, Champion is a firm favourite with the guests. He is easy, safe and responsive and knows his job very well.
CHARLIE – 15.1hh, YOB 2005, Grey Local horse from Maun
A sweet natured horse with comfortable paces, Charlie is very photogenic and knows his job.
COOL WATER – 16.1hh, YOB 2008, Dark brown Trakehner from Namibia
A handsome horse, Cool Water is extremely comfortable. He is a great horse for experienced riders
DAMARA – 15.3hh, YOB 2001, Chestnut Trakehner cross Hanoverian
Great fun for experienced riders, Damara loves being out on the rides. A favourite lead horse of Bongwe and John.
DITORO – 15hh, YOB 1998, Dark Bay local breed from Maun
One of Sekongo’s lead horses, Ditoro is bold with fast paces. He can also be ridden by experienced guests… if they ask Sekongo very nicely.
DUNE – 15hh, YOB 2004, Connemara Cross Arab
A beautiful Palamino with great talent, Dune performs best with experienced and sensitive riders.
EBONY – 16.2hh, YOB 2002, Dark Bay Namibian Warmblood
A handsome horse, Ebony is very brave around game. He offers a lovely steady ride and has a wonderfully comfortable canter.
ETOSHA – 16.2hh, YOB 1996 Chestnut Saddlebred
A striking horse, Etosha walks out very well and has a lovely smooth canter.
FOSTER – 15hh, YOB 2006, Kalahari horse
A handsome bay and former endurance horse, Foster loves to go fast but is also very responsive to the touch. You will spot him in the barn by the white heart shape above his eyes.
GUINNESS – 16.2hh, YOB 2004, Friesian cross from Namibia
A beautiful black horse with a very smooth canter, Guinness is a very safe ride and a great confidence builder for nervous riders.
HANNIBAL – 15.2hh, YOB 2002, Bay Boerperd
A handsome chap who is very sweet natured with lovely paces: a real pleasure to ride.
JAO – 17.3hh, YOB 2004, Grey Percheron
Jao is truly an impressive horse and is very photogenic.

A very special horse, Khwai is forward-going, intelligent, responsive and good around the game. Khwai is the perfect safari horse and soon becomes a firm favourite with any guest who rides him.
KUKAMA – 15.2hh. YOB 1996, Dun Paint
A striking coloured horse with beautiful conformation, Kukama offers a steady and comfortable ride.
LOXLEY – 15.1hh, YOB 1996, Bay pure breed Arab
Loxley is great fun to ride and has a lovely character. He walks out really well and is extremely light and responsive – he looks great in pictures!
MAPULA – 15.1hh YOB 2003 Chestnut
A very nice and forward going horse, Mapula is great fun, but needs a confident and sensitive rider.
MARBLE – 14.3hh, YOB 2008, Local Skewbald
Marble has a cheeky personality, he has a special door on his stall as he’s soo good at escaping! A very calm horse with a lovely easy stride.
MIKE – 15.1hh, YOB 2003, Local Skewbald
A pretty horse, Mike is an easy, fun and forward-going with a very comfortable canter. He is often used as a lead horse.
MOMBO – 16.1hh, YOB 2009, Dapple Grey Percheron Mix
A very sweet and beautiful horse, Mombo has many admirers. He is best suited to a confident, experienced rider.
MURRAY – 15.2hh, YOB 2005, Bay from Cape Town
A handsome horse, Murray is Mod’s favourite; he’s very enthusiastic and poses beautifully for photos! He’s best ridden by experienced riders with soft hands
NAMIB – 16.1hh, YOB 2001, Chestnut Trakehner cross Hanoverian from Namibia
A lovely horse, quiet and steady to ride with beautiful paces, particularly his canter. Namib is very relaxed around the game.
NKOSI – 16.3hh, YOB 2011, Dark Brown Namibian Warmblood
Nkosi arrived a Macatoo this year, and is a very relaxed horse with lovely paces and will soon be out on safari with experienced guests.
NXABEGA – 15hh, YOB 2008, Grey Arab Cross from Ghanzi
A lovely young horse, Nxabega is very responsive and requires a light, confident rider.
PHAKELA – 16hh, YOB 2008, Bay Warmblood from Namibia
The younger brother of San (see below), Phakela is a comfortable ride, best suited to experienced riders.
PHOENIX – 15.1hh, YOB 1999, Grey Arab
Phoenix is a clever and responsive little horse with very comfortable paces.
PHUDUHUDU – 15.1hh, YOB 1998, Chestnut Norwegian Fjord cross Basotho Pony
One of Sekongo’s lead horses, Phuduhudu has a very sweet, quiet temperament.
PULA – 14.1hh, YOB 2010, Bay Roan local breed from Maun
Pula has plenty of admirers with his fun personality. He’s super for smaller experienced riders.
PUMBA – 13.2hh, YOB 2008, Bay local breed from Maun
Pumba is a very sweet natured pony, and takes bush life completely in his stride. He’s great for the smaller rider

Rocks has recently joined the barn as a lead horse, he’s proving to be very brave and quick.
SAN – 16.1hh, YOB 2002, Bay Warmblood
An extremely talented and very popular forward-going horse who needs an experienced rider.
SAVANNA – 16.2hh, YOB 2002, Chestnut Thoroughbred
This ex-race horse from South Africa is a lovely, comfortable ride and is particularly calm around the game.
SERETSE – 15.3hh, YOB 2011, Bay Namibian Warmblood
New to Macatoo this year, Seretse is a full brother to San & Phakela (see above). He’s proving to be very sweet natured and enjoys safaris as much as his brothers!
SIMBA – 15hh, YOB 1997, Chestnut Boerperd cross
A great little horse, Simba is full of energy and likes experienced riders who have as much energy as he does. His favourite things are cantering and flapjacks!
SKIMMER – 15.1hh, YOB 2005, Dapple Grey Percheron Cross from Cape Town
Skimmer is very handsome, brave and forward-going. He is best suited to experienced riders and has taken well to being a lead horse.
STAR – 15hh, YOB 2006, dark grey local horse from Maun
A very easy going and a comfortable ride, Star is a favourite with the guests. He is also very brave and one of Sekongo’s favourite lead horses.
STORMER – 15hh, YOB 2008, Bay Thoroughbred from Cape Town
A beautiful little thoroughbred with a very sweet nature, Stormer needs a soft hand and is best suited for experienced riders.
THAKADU – 15.2hh, YOB 1999, Chestnut Namibian Thoroughbred
A speedy horse that has a great temperament, Thakadu is very friendly and loves people (particularly those with food).
XIGIRA – 14.2hh, YOB 2008, Chestnut Arab cross, bred in the sands of the Kalahari
An amazing looking little horse, Xigira is forward going and very responsive. He performs best with a calm, confident and experienced rider.
ZORBA – 15.3hh, YOB 2003, Dark Bay Boerperd
A forward going, sensible ride with lots of personality. Zorba is truly versatile being able to lead as well as being a great guest horse.
